Did You Know?
The Marching band, Pep band, Concert and symphonic bands have not major funding sponsorships.
Approximately 10% of the students in the marching band receive some type of funding from the Department of Bands.
These monies are minimal to assist with small purchases such as textbooks and school supplies.
The average HBCU Marching band of our size category/conference has over 60-80% of their students on scholarship, both partial and full.
It takes, on average $18,000.00 to move the Marching Band on one overnight trip during the football season.
The cost of maintaining and operating the band program at NC A&T grows each year. We believe that donations are an excellent way for Aggie alumni and supporters to help and you'll have the intangible satisfaction derived from keeping the best band in the land performing for the loyal Aggie fans across the nation!
We seek to develop the overall collegiate experience of our members, thus we are soliciting civic minded business organizations to sponsor this outstanding group of students. Depending on the amount invested, examples of Sponsorship Benefits can include your business name printed on a banner, which will be displayed at all home football games on the bleachers in front of the band; your business name announced as an official sponsor for the Blue and Gold Marching Machine during the half-time shows; your business name, logo, advertisements, as well as a link to your website as an official sponsor on the marching band website which receives thousands of hits a week; recognition and a corporate table at our annual band banquet which is attended by major school officials and your company will establish a record of participating in community activities, promoting goodwill.
To discuss sponsorship opportunities and benefits associated with this partnership, please feel free to contact Dr. Kenneth Ruff at 336-334-7776.
